Senator Rick Scott is the chair of the Senate Republican Campaign Committee. What is noteworthy about this is that although Scott says he wrote this agenda on his own, he wrote it with top Republican donors and presented it at the top conservative political action gathering, CPAC. He is also positioning himself to challenge McConnell for leadership. This is the direction the senate will go if Republicans take control in 2022. There are 100's of news articles about this, and they all point to the GOP going in this direction.
